As a Dillard’s ambassador, it’s your job to ensure that all communications on behalf of Dillard’s reflect our brand values, and as an ambassador— you are the future of fashion, leadership, and social media. THINGS TO DO:

  • Speak with authority. We want the customer to think of us as a friend in the know.

  • Be honest. All copy (including brand names, prices, features & attributes) must be factual and adhere to all FTC guidelines.

  • Use active voice. Use simple, powerful words. More verbs and fewer adjectives.

  • Be concise and exact. Write short sentences.

  • Ask questions.

  • Avoid of-the-moment (and out-of-date) slang.

  • Keep the tone positive and avoid negativity.

THINGS TO AVOID:

  • Controversial and political topics

  • Negativity, pessimism, sarcasm

  • Overtly sexual messaging
